Our athletes at Swim Club at Indiana University keep on swimming fast, working hard, and competing well! We traveled to Cincinnati, OH and West Layfette, IN to compete against some Bearcats and some Boilermakers on our road towards Nationals! We have volunteered several times over the last couple months to help out our community in Bloomington! Read more to find out more about what we did and what's coming up soon!
On February 7th, the Hoosiers traveled to the University of Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats, along with Dayton, Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Butler, and Xavier. We took a team of 34 swimmers, with James Moreth getting his first National cut of the season, and he is eligible to join the rest of our National cut swimmers when they travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, for the 2026 College Club Swimming National Championships in April! Our Women placed 3rd, while our Men placed 2nd, and our team overall placed 2nd! Great swims by all of our Indiana University athletes!

On January 24th, our swimmers volunteered to time for the Indiana University Varsity Men's and Women's Swim Team. The Indiana Varsity Swim & Dive Team faced off against our rival school, the Purdue Boilermakers. On the Men's side of the scoreboard, the Hoosiers defeated the Boilermakers by 119 points, with the final score being 209.5-90.5, in favor of Indiana. On the Women's side of the scoreboard, the Hoosiers sealed the Boilermakers' fate by outscoring them by 72 points; the final score was 186-114, Indiana over Purdue. Our athletes had an amazing time getting to time for this rivalry meet! Some of our swimmers also got to meet the Official Indiana Hoosiers mascot, Hoosier the Bison!
On January 30th, our team was back once again to time for Indiana University Varsity Men's and Women's Swim Team. The Indiana Varsity Swim & Dive team faced off against the Louisville Cardinals in their last duel meet of the season. On the Men's side of the scoreboard, the Hoosiers dominated the Cardinals with 132 points, with the final score being 216-84, in favor of Indiana. On the Women's side of the scoreboard, the Hoosiers just slid by the Cardinals with 23 points, with the final score being 161-138, favoring Indiana. Our swimmers had an awesome time seeing the Hoosiers getting ready to head into championship time! We wish our Varsity team good luck at NCAAs, since the Women placed 2nd and the Men placed 1st at their respective B1Gs!

On February 27th, members of Swim Club at Indiana University traveled to Frank Southern Ice Arena for a team ice skating night! While not something all of our swimmers are used to doing, after a few falls and wipeouts, our swimmers were all having fun skating around the Arena! Everyone was able to talk to each other, get to know their teammates better, have a fun time, and even get in a few laughs! It was a great and enjoyable night! We look forward to returning to Frank Southern Ice Arena again next year for more hockey and ice skating!
On March 1st, members of our team traveled to Sembower Field to watch our fellow club sport, Men’s Lacrosse at Indiana University, compete against Alabama. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers suffered defeat with a final score of 15-7 in favor of the Crimson Tide. Even though it wasn't a win for the Hoosiers, our swimmers had a fun and enjoyable time being able to support another one of our club sports teams!
